Is the free Chrono R&D account really free?
Yes. Chrono R&D is free to generate timesheets and cluster your team's work for a full fiscal year, and no credit card is required to start. You only pay once you're ready to assemble that work into SR&ED projects, at a flat fee from $2,000 per claim year.
What is SR&ED?
SR&ED (Scientific Research and Experimental Development) is the federal tax credit for R&D work done in Canada. Canadian-Controlled Private Corporations earn a 35% refundable credit on the first $3 million of qualified expenditures and 15% above that.
